Palembang, Heaven of Culinary Place



            Hi ! My Second post, I want to tell you about Palembang City. Actually i’m not a Palembangnese, but i always tell to my friends not from Palembang. I tell them about Palembangnese culinary. Especially Pempek. Pempek is made from fish, tapioca, and many seasoning. Pempek served with “cuko” or sauce from palm sugar with chilli and garlic.
            My recommended place when you go to Palembang city to get some pempek. You must go to “Toko Pempek Saga Sudi Mampir at Jalan Merdeka Near Palembang Mayor Office or Near Agung Mosque, or Jalan Demang Lebar Daun. The price is not expensive, just Rp.5000/pieces. You can eat Pempek Telur, Pempek lenjer, Pempek kerting, Pempek Kates, Pempek adaan, Pempek Kulit, etc.  I think, this place very comfortable, near at central city, and very delicious. And one more, this restaurant’s owner originaly Palembangnese. Majority, pempek restaurant’s owner is Chinese people.
            Except pempek, you can get many more Palembangnese culinary like Tekwan, Model, Pempek Lenggang, Pempek Panggang, Otak-Otak, Rujak Mie, Mie Celor, Srikayo, Es Kacang, Pindang, Tempoyak, Burgo, Celimpungan, Martabak HAR, and many cakes originally from Palembang. Please come to my City. Palembang ! one day is not enough to explore and taste Palembang food !
